If we have all the information we need, you might get approval even faster. Conventional and FHA loans typically take 1-2 days; complex loans like DSCR or bank statement loans may take 2-3 business days.
Does applying for a mortgage hurt my credit score?
A mortgage application will create a hard inquiry on your credit, which typically lowers your score by 5-10 points. However, when you apply with us, there's no credit check required just to get started and receive a rate quote. Your credit is only pulled when you're ready to move forward with an actual application. Multiple mortgage inquiries within 14-45 days typically count as one inquiry for scoring purposes, so shopping around doesn't hurt as much as you might think.
What information do I need to apply for a mortgage?
For a basic rate quote, you just need: your name, email, phone, estimated home value or purchase price, down payment percentage, and credit score range. For a full application, you'll typically need: recent pay stubs, W2s or tax returns, bank statements, employment verification, and ID. Self-employed borrowers will need 2 years of tax returns and profit/loss statements. DSCR investors need property information and business tax returns.
